I just looked on here and realised that I haven't posted since last year. Well we are getting ready for Christmas, it being next week. We aren't doing a big one as Caity is with her Dad this year so Bonnita will be spending it with Grant's family (her new boyfriend for those who don't know yet, he's very nice and we all like him). Mum and I are going over to Lisa's for Christmas lunch so that will be nice. I will be attempting to make and teach Tyson how to make rocky-road. :-) We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year, just the family,we made gingerbread houses but it was so hot that the icing wouldn't harden and the walls all caved in so we just ate them instead. Ben, Grant and I did some shooting out the back and we talked Lisa into having a go and she smacked herself in the face with the scope which we all thought was funny except her. Bonnita has moved to Warwick as of last weekend, it was a crazy day but her new house is great. They now have 4 bedrooms and an entertainment area out the back and Grant gets a 'man-cave'. Caity will be in grade 6 next year and starting at a new school so she is a bit nervous but we're all sure she will do well. I have completed my first year of University and passed all my courses. I will start again in February and I can't wait. :-) Well I can't think of much more to share so I will try to post some photos after Christmas for everyone. Lots of love from everyone down here.

Christmas Down Under

Went to mom and dads for boxing day yesterday. Celebrated Aussie style with a BBQ. It rained the whole time, lucky mom and dad have such a big veranda. Been raining for a couple weeks now. Had some fun driving down the driveway to and from their house, mud all the way, the cars got mud all the way up the sides, got a wash going home in the rain though. I drove over Cunningham's Gap going home and the had it closed down to one lane because half the road is starting to slide down the mountain. Luckily we all went home Sunday afternoon because Warwick flooded today, almost all the bridges were under water. Definitely the worst flood since 1996 if not worse than then. It would have been an interesting phone call to my boss, "sorry I can't come in today, I am flooded in at my parent's place". It hailed golf ball size hail in Brisbane 2 weeks ago near my place, luckily I was already at work. The rain was coming in windows on opposite sides of the flat today courtesy of the wind. I wonder what else this weird weather has in store for us. Happy New Year everyone!

Melyssa Ann

Melyssa Ann Behrend was stillborn on February 28th, 3lbs 2oz, 42cms. She was very beautiful and will be very much missed. Her funeral will be held on the 4th of March at 1.30pm followed by her burial in the Drayton/Toowoomba Cemetery. Our darling little girl has gone to rest in the arms of God until we see her again. Rest in peace, sweatheart. We love you.

Sarah Has Moved!

Hey all,

I just moved up to Brisbane. Got a 2 bedroom townhouse with my old roomate Erica. I didn't get into uni for this year but I am planning on working while doing some prep work to help me get in next year. My new place is great, right accross the road from a library. :-) It's close to the shops too so that's a plus, less petrol needed to get around. We are still unpacking so the house looks like a tornado hit it. Lol. Once I get everything in order I'll post some photos up. Anyway, I'd better post this. Love and miss you all!

Love,

Sarah

Back to School

Hi Everyone,

I have been getting frantic trying to get all of Caitlyn's school supplies together to start school tomorrow. It is the first day of school here in Australia tomorrow. They have just finished 7 weeks of vacation and Caity is more than eager to get back to school. Can you beleive that she is starting 4th grade this year, I certainly can't lol. We just found out that Caity will be in a combined 4th and 5th grade class this year. When I told her she just said 'That way if I get bored I can do harder work'. She is already reading at a 5th grade level and she is only starting 4th grade. I am very proud of my little brainiac. :-) We also found out that she will be in the same class as her best friend again this year so she is over the moon about that. Those two little girls love school so they are two peas in a pod.

In other news, I am now 27 weeks pregnant and Caity is soooo excited about becoming a big sister. She has already offered to get up during the nighht for me in case tthe baby wakes up. I told her that she probably shouldn't offer that unless she knew how many times a newborn wakes up every night lol. She has plenty of experience with being around babies though as she is Tyson's favorite person and the favorite of all of my other friends' babies as well. She will be a big help when the baby comes. :-) I still don't know if the baby is a boy or a girl yet as I have now had 2 ultrasound scans and both times the baby had it's legs in the way... lol I guess I am not meant to know yet. I will keep you posted if I find out more info in the next few weeks.

Well I better go now and start cooking dinner but I will get back on in a while after Caity gets stettled in at school.

Love to all,
Bonnita

Wonderful B-day

I had a wonderful birthday. Couldn't have been better. The kids were all home and Bonnita made me a beautiful devils food cake. All of the girls got me things for my new kitchen. New hotpads, aprons and Sarah created a nice recipe book of all of my favourite recipes so I don't have to look through every book to find them.

Then Ben was kind enough to take a photo of us all together. This doesn't happen very often, so if you want a family photo of us, you better get this one. It is like pulling teeth. Everyone is allergic to photos and the amount of groans that were heard to get this one was loud enough to be heard overseas.

We all plan on trying to keep this up to date of our goings on in our family. It probably could get boring at times, but at least some of our family and friends can check up on us.

Anyway, Love to everyone in the USA.

G'day From Down Under

Hey all, we have finally started a blog to keep you updated on the goings on down here. We all just celebrated Mom's b'day a few days late and everyone was at Mom & Dad's place. They are putting in the last cupboard in the kitchen. The house looks great. We took some family photos while everyone was together and so we've put the best one on the blog for you all to see. Caity is growing like a weed. She is taller than most of the kids her age. Tyson is talking up a storm and Lisa says he is talking better than the other kids in his age group at daycare. Sarah is getting ready to move up to Brisbane to go to University.
